As Funkstorung, Chris de Luca and partner Michael Fakesch released an uncountable amount of records while their remixes for Bjork, Wu-Tang Clan, Speedy J and Plaid attracted worldwide attention.
In 2002, de Luca intensely lived out his love for hip hop with friend Peabird on his first solo album Deadly Wiz Da Disko. Then De Luca moved to Berlin and Funkstorung split up. It was destiny for De Luca to soon pair up with Phon.o!, glitch-hop hero of labels like Cytrax, Detroit Underground, Normoton, Tigerbeat6 and T.Raumschmiere's Sh*tkatapult.
Currently, the two are locked inside a studio working like crazy f*ckers to finish their debut album, but they couldnt pass up the chance to make this old school styled hip-hop battle mix cd for Violent Turd!
