Dre Skull pull a bit of a coup with reggae megastar Sizzla vocalling their 'Gone Too Far' track, backed up here with mixes from Lee Mortimer, Buraka Som Sistema, Goon and Rico Tubbs. The original is a leftside dancehall number with kettle drums and an odd Badalamenti-style chord sequence, but it's massively eclipsed by all the remixes including their own. Lee Mortimer's does the Dubsided crew proud with a tearing electro house version that you probably heard down Fabric last week, while BSS get busy with swinging drums and canvas-ripping synth stabs, before Dre Skull murder their own original with a wobbling B-More and Bassline collision. Goon's version is far and away the hidden gem on this EP, combining heavy 808's with deliciously warm analog chords and well trained acid lines for a simple but massively effective cut, and Rico Tubbs finally tests the party with two versions drawing for a B-More street rave smacker with Bassline wobble in vocal and dub versions.
