Piano Overlord is a side project of Scott Herren, aka Prefuse 73, and had a handful of releases on Diplo's Money Studies label in the early-mid '00s. Aninha Mission is a collection of previously unreleased material from this period, recorded in Barcelona in 2004 and safeguarded for the ideal future release. The tracks on Aninha Mission are intricately produced pieces of bitingly ethereal electronic music, effortlessly straddling the line of sonic complexity and organic simplicity. Nearly completely instrumental, the recording features contributions from John McEntire of Tortoise, Tyondai Braxton formerly of Battles, Cibelle and others. Very limited with no repress.
