Love Is In The Air' sees The Juan Maclean further polishing the studded-electro which he brought to attention on the 'Less Than Human' LP. With the original openly plundering the Norwegian electronica boom of 2002/2003 for inspiration, 'Love Is In The Air' takes a carbonated approach to beats then bulks it up through a slow-build of rubbery bass, chittering vocals and bounding momentum that is borderline impossible to resist. Honest! Given a lick of fresh paint by three sets of remixers, the first to the table are Brits Mock and Toof who up the sugary coating and turn in the kind of cut which probably sounds best out in the sun - wherein everything is upped in an attempt to jolly-out the original's vitamin-C blush. On the back, things are cast in a welcome shadow by Community Library's Strategy who keeps the beeps lubricated, but tempers the bounce to a covertly threatening stance of gentle electro simmering, whilst Caro follows on with a vocodor-etched blast of sunset digitalis.
