DJ Romain sure can lay down the funky and disco goods, but w ith this HOT three-tracker he shows he can rock the dark and dirty techy style too. This EP is a tough, dubby big room as sault weapon, with the main track "Tech-a-Fied" cutting up a reggae sample and laying it over a thick building synth line , tribal/tech drums and a monster breakdown. Definitely up t Here with Francois K's techier stuff. On the flip "Nuff Regg ae Tech" throws down a jumbo wobbling bassline and spliffed out samples for an irie dub house mix a la Worship, Stupendo us and Jah Love. "Ro Tech" closes it out with another techno -minded builder that'll appeal to the AME heads. Don't sleep on this one if you think you know what ROmain is all about.A. TECH-A-FIED B1.
