'Plantain' is all widescreen, sweeping strings and vocals washed over convulsive claps and clustered jungle/footwork spurts in a gorgeous play of half-tempo tension and release. 'What I Was Doing When I Was Doing What I Was Doing' is darker, tetchier, rolling with fractured drums and strafing chords in gyroscopic flex.
