The 7even records wagon builds up some pace with another killer addition to the label with the second release from Likhan. After dropping in rather unexpectedly with the killer 'Terre' joint some months back the anticipation has been building for some new gear and 'Qumran' proves this guy ain't no one trick pony. The A-side develops a bass drone worthy of Oren Ambarchi for the first quarter before constructing a wicked Peverelist/Mala styled kicksteppin riddim and rolling in the final third with some studied dub chord stabs, proper forward steppers business. 'Daoine Sidhe' on the flip is even heavier, dropping the breezy riddim styles and stepping up with some exceedingly cool dub-raving futurism, wrapping wild sci-fi synth washes around a fully charged hardcore shuffle with proper unique results.
