On August 8th 2011, these two remarkable tracks were be- ing recorded at The Carvery Studios in Hackney, whilst just outside the door the streets of London were in the grip of shocking civil unrest.
Both recordings help to capture a new side to the unique and breathtaking talent of Quantic and Alice Russell, backed by the world-renowned Combo Barbaro, whose members travelled from Peru, Colombia and beyond for the session.
This project is the realisation of a long held musical ambition for Will Holland (aka Quantic) who has always wanted to make a record in this way, recording direct to vinyl in one take.
The session was filmed by revered photographer / director B+, and the resulting series of videos will be launched online to promote this release.
