Description

Liquidator Music is pleased to present a historical document, Roy Ellis ever first recordings, 50 years after being originally released, never before had been repressed in any format.

In 1964 Roy Ellis, a Jamaican teenager, released two of his first compositions backed by the best talents from Jamaican music: Ernest Ranglin on guitar, Georgie Fame on organ, Tony Washington on piano, Eddie 'Tan Tan' Thornton playing trumpet, Rico on trombone, Sonny Burke on sax, among some others who Roy Ellis can't properly remember now, after half a century.

The recording was produced por Sonny Burke in 1963 and came out in 1964 under the english label Ember Records. Liquidator Music has recovered these two unique gems which has been remastered for pressing a deluxe 7" single, with previously unseen pictures and liner notes written by Roy Ellis himself.
