Fumigate Funky Broadway collects tracks from 7 different labels to showcase the 60s New Orleans recordings of this legendary itinerant. Kari's career flourished in the 50s Midwest where he discovered Della Reese and The Falcons, and again in the 70s in Miami where he worked with the likes of Bobby Caldwell and "Wildman" Steve. Fumigate Funky Broadway chronicles the highly entertaining body of work that he recorded during his 1960's six-year stay in New Orleans, and includes productions that featured his mad-professorial hand (Sax was an early over-dubber and user of new technology and gadgetry). What is presented here is a cinemascopic range of blues, R&B, and funky exotica from labels like Nola, Masque, Local, Kari, and Master Craft.
