2014 repress - Soundhack / Soundstream crew on only their second ever release under this guise. Well we can cheerfully report its been worth the wait, after bumping the walls all week to these tunes. Most probably - you might know aspects of their previous work - long term visitors of these pages will recall massive classics from MMM, Smith n Hack, Soundkit and Soundhack, Errorsmith, all covering differing strands of the big club music. "Freakin'" has it about right - equally in order for the beach or early morning dancefloor, cut-up, filtered, distilled disco essence spilling all over the place. Don't sweat about the origins of this music, it's a record not intended for playing at home, its specifically for the places where you want to hoof around, and seems to shift booty in a most congenial fashion. Our favourite cut here is probably the 'soul train' piece with the huge steam sample really hyping the tune to another level. If you know these guys' music already, you'll be aware they don't release records often or casually - and this one is no exception. Fully committed berlin groove weapons from the masters!
