*Fathoms-deep House mutations from Terre Thaemlitz, reworking his own, epic 'Soulnessless' material*
"'Soulnessless' EP1 is the very eagerly anticipated first instalment of two twelves in support of Terre Thaemlitz's convention transgressing, 32 hour album of the same name. Effectively, Thaemlitz has condensed sections of that daunting release as two radically Queer dancefloor versions under his K-S.H.E (Kami-Sakunobe House Explosion) alias. A-side 'Rosary Novena for Gender Transitioning (Homosexual Spirits)' delineates an opulent fourteen minutes of plush, puckered Deep House minimalism - a haughtily proud, head-high body groove synching kinetic polyrhythms and a flourish of keys with powerful samples of an Evangelical preacher performing a public "homosexual exorcism". The same samples are used to equally compelling effect on B-side ''Rosary Novena for Gender Transitioning (Spirits, Lose Your Hold)', but this time the groove is dubbed, more contemplative, posited for post-dawn dancefloor meltdown. In the hands of talented and aware DJs these tracks have the potential to be much more than incredible party tools; they're life-affirming, spirit-rousing statements of a timeless and moving calibre, sure to remain in your box for ever...
