Description

An opening salvo, a statement record, a record on the bleeding edge. Michael J Collins, Odd Nosdam, Morbidly-O-Beats, Ceschi, Zackey Force Funk & Benito all coagulate around some mutant lo-end fury.

A1) Michael J Collins - Archetype One
Opening dub song from FBR Owner Michael J Collins aka MJC. Michael has floundered on the fringes of the music industry for years. Too many, having released his first 12" in 1997. He has put out alot of 12"s and remixes and such, working with labels including Wolf+Lamb, My Favorite Robot, Electric Minds, Greta Cottage Workshop, Fabric, K7. MJC actually quit music entirely several years back and FBR appeared out of the ether one year ago.

A2) Archetype One - Odd Nosdam Remix
A3) Archetype One - Odd Nosdam Reprise/Vinyl Only
What the hell is there to say about the enigmatic, legendary man that has remixed everyone from Boards Of Canada to Lali Puna? Putting out music on imprints as far-reaching as Anticon, Warp Records, Secretly Canadian, Rad Cult for so many years. Owner of his own Burnco Recs. Producer of the Kenny Dennis LP with Serengeti that Thom Yorke reported as Genius. Dude's a legend.

B1) Morbidly-O-Beats Feat. Ceschi - Klaus
M.O.B. has been a beast on the Chicago beat scene since forever, and this piece w/ the famed Ceschi Ramos is hard as nails. Ceschi, recently featured in the Village Voice in regard to the sketchy details of his recent incarceration, is now a free man. And running one of the most successful underground Hip Hop/Good Music labels around: Fake Four. Another living legend.

B2) Zackey Force Funk - Montego Bay
ZFF is taking over the world. Literally. Just got back from his Red Bull Music Academy X Hit & Run shows in New Zealand. Recording and appearing on imprints such as Hit & Run, Stone's Throw, RAMP. Half of Demon Queen, along with Tobacco of Black Moth Super Rainbow. 'Nuff said.

B3) Morbidly-O-Beats - Out The Door (Benito Remix)
We like it weird, so we decided to press the remix instead of the original, which will become available come time for digi. Benito, the Bay Area bliss-bass killah, continues to play alongside acts such as Nosaj Thing and Faulty DL. His production alchemy continues, seeing his debut LP drop soon on Brap Dem! with 12" remixes from some of the best around.
