Finely twisted Electro-Tech session from the genre-defiant Al Tourettes, backed with a smart Datasette remix for the Bloc festival-affiliated Baselogic label. It's fair to say that Al is one of those guys who's picky about what they release, hence the fact his last release was over a year ago - the 'When I Rust' ace for If Symptoms Persist. Here he's in lean, muscular Bass mode with the brooding tones and dynamic torsion of the title track, while 'Universed' is more melodic, discombobulated yet tensile, and 'Badger' is sleazier, darkly screwed. On remix detail, Datasette deftly rearranges 'Swan Sketch' with a sort of quicksilver flux, pivoting off snare punctuations and with more emphasis placed on the sparse melodic arrangement.
