The fourth of 4 releases on the new label, Funk Night Field Records (FNFR). This is a collaboration between Funk Night Records and the legendary JJ Whitefield. BC & The Blazers open up this latest omelette with a retro sound that goes a lot to 60s outfits and library music classics with its meandering, endlessly evolving rhythms and layers of rich guitar lines all hang for a conversational vibe. On the reveres and with Rise's 'Keep On Coming,' things get more cosmic and otherworldly with cheeky lead lines bringing an out of space feel as the drums pull back and unfold in more cautious fashion, though some horse bring the funk again later on.
