Ben Westbeech aka Breach steps to Midland for the 2nd release of lean and shifty UK bass/house on his Naked Naked label. A-side on '101' they tame the Funky template to a minimal, brooding aesthetic, setting the scene with bleak nocturnal atmospheres before deploying precise, depth-charged subs and a classic-sounding hook with a reserved, stush sort of European house progression. B-side with 'Somewhere' they again find the sweet spot between UK functions and continental groove pressure using subtle lick of soul vocal and trapped disco loops to ease off the driving bass rhythm and tight shuffling percussion.
