Burnt Friedman grapples with four uniquely carved rhythms on a new Nonplace release. In fine tradition, he navigates streams of instinctively ancient drum patterns powered by modern production techniques, accompanied by the supple skills of Nu Dub Players Joseph Suchy (Electric Guitar), Daniel Schroter (Bass Guitar) and Hayden Chisholm (Saxophone), plus the multi-disciplined Takeshi Nishimoto on Sarod (an Indian stringed instrument).
