Andale Records is proudly reissuing Chihuahua's groovy, flute-driven album, "Descarga Cubana" on LP - the first time the record will be back in print since it was released in 1964. Chihuahua came from Cuba to New York in 1959 and performed as a sideman with everyone of note in the Latin American scene - from Ray Barretto to Cachao - before forming his own "all star" group and releasing two LPs. Volume 1 of Descarga Cubana is full of deep grooves and afro-cuban jazz improvisations. Get Volume 2 of here.
