The collaboration with esteemed Spain-based producer Roberto Sánchez of A-Lone Productions turns out to be a very fruitful one for underrated Jamaican veteran vocalist Clive Matthews. After the Santiago Villaverde & Roberto Sánchez produced 7″ singles “Never Too Late” and “Jah Live”, both released in November 2017, and the Dubby Ambassah & Roberto Sánchez produced 12″ vinyl featuring the tracks “They Will Never Find Jah” and “Jah Soon Come” – put out in March 2018 -, Santiago Villaverde & Roberto Sánchez now present Clive Matthews’ brand new single “Love Of Rastafari”.
Backed by the Lone Ark Riddim Force, consisting of Iñigo Elexpuru (drums), Roberto Sánchez (bass, guitars, keys & backing vocals), Mathias Liengme (organ), Gorka Fernández (trombone & trumpet), Saioa Jorrín (alto sax) and Shanti Yalah (percussions), Clive Matthews comes up with an absolutely stellar roots tune. Together with the delightful “Dub Version” on the flipside, this precious single – taken from Clive Matthews’ forthcoming album – is ear candy for fans who cherish the cultural sounds of reggae music’s golden era.
