His Hyperdub debut 'West Coast' is the best of the bunch so far. Co-constructed with his regular spar, Mista Danjah, the lead cut winds up a sun-curdled G-funk riff around inimitably flash edits: you know, the kind of spine slippin' rhythms that require a HND from Rinse.FM to be able to mix properly. Heck, you'd need to make that a degree delivered by Spyro himself to work the VIP version - these beats are outrageous! Turn over and 'East Coast' runs out a tougher 2-stepping Grime riddim, again produced with sort of energy and swagger that could only come from the heartland of East London's Grime scene.
