A whopping 12 years since his last release, D1 returns with some outstanding cuts. Always famed and respected for his deeper, soulful take on dubstep since his manoeuvres during the movement's formative chapters on iconic labels such as Tempa and Dub Police, he's back and he's packing an even deeper, bewitching brew. 'Veto' goes all out August Pablo with its melodica lines while 'Red Stripe' maintains that traditional soundsystem feel but with more of a jazzier twist. Finally 'Midnight Blues' flips the switch for something a little more UKG in its energy and movement but still keeps that meditative pressure.
