2016 Cassette Store Day release - Damu's HISS ABYSS EP is finally available on tape, right on time for Cassette Store Day 2016. The project features instrumentals that couldn't fit on Damu's How It Should Sound Volumes 3, 4 & 5. Unique packaging includes a single panel insert instead of traditional J card, exposed spine, and a bonus sticker inside.<br/><br/>
With all the material considered for How It Should Sound (HISS) Volumes 3-5, it became difficult to determine which tracks would make the final album. While working on the album (3, 4 & 5), I lost track of the complete running time and how many beats were recorded. Selecting and sequencing songs for the definitive album was a task in itself for Redef, but once we decided to make 3 volumes instead of 2 as originally intended, things started lining up. This record features bonus material including outtakes and interludes that otherwise would have gone unheard. Being the 5th anniversary of the HISS franchise (2010-2015), we wanted to acknowledge the milestone by making more music available to our unsuspecting fans. HISS Abyss. Whether you consider yourself a hardcore vinyl enthusiast or general fan of music, the intent of this record is to extend the listening experience as presented in the How It Should Sound Series.
