Mark Pritchard is on serious roll right now with a constant stream of rumbling hiphop riddims. 'Battlestar' is the latest single to be lopped from his all-taking 'When Machines Exceed Human Intelligence' album, coming backed with a remixed version built to detonate the dance in fine style. The original album version concentrates on phat Dilla-styled Detroit hiphop, leaning heavily under the weight of real juicy drums and Phat Kat & Elzhi's confidently funked flows. However, it's the uber-sick remix on the flip that has us in a spin with quasi-dubstep/w**ky bass and full strength synthlines to drag the floor along in slo-mo. Both cuts come with instrumental versions for those that don't do vocals. Expect to hear the likes of Kode 9, Alex Nut or Mary-Anne Hobbs dropping this badboy over the summer - Massive twelve!
