After including a track on Houndstooth’s 2018 comp ‘IDDK’ he delivers an album inspired by old prog rock album covers, a new-found love of plants and gardening, and science fiction literature. The work is awash in earthy psychedelia; tracks shimmer with the sounds of birdsong, natural percussion and visions of a future in which nature has taken back an artificial world. The abundance of natural influences does not detract from Hodge’s ability to write solid dance floor rhythms however.
