The first of 4 releases on the new label, Funk Night Field Records (FNFR). This is a collaboration between Funk Night Records and the legendary JJ Whitefield. The goodness keeps on flowing out of the Funk Night Field camp with several top quality reales all landing this autumn. The mysterious Itamar is first up with a deep cut pair of funk workouts. These are stylish jams with a timeless feel. First up is 'Sitar Slam' which does indeed feature some nice trippy and liquid sitar snaking its way through the instrumental funk grooves. 'Phin Phun' on the flip is another warped and snaking rhythm with bendy bass and layers of reverb all powered by more dusty drum work.
