2024 reissue, originally released in 1960 - John Wright, who is now quite obscure, recorded five albums during 1960-62 that emphasized the souful side of hard bop. In a trio with bassist Wendell Roberts and drummer Walter McCants on his debut session Wright performs seven of his originals, all of which have something to do with Chicago. This new edition of the album is released as part of the OJC Series and is pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI with (AAA) lacquers cut from the original master tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio. It is presented in a Tip-On Jacket.
