Chicago native Jrod Indigo is an emerging vocalist out of the organic Bay Area soul music scene. Accompanied by live instrumentation, Indigo's sound is warm, danceable, and immediately infectious. He has performed at the prestigious Bonnaroo Festival as well as the San Francisco Funk Festival, and has shared stages with Amel Larrieux, Martin Luther, and dead prez. He has also been a guest vocalist on songs by producers Rich Medina and Anthony Nicholson.
Jrod Indigo joins DJ Bobbito Garcia's Alala Records family with a licensed 7" vinyl release of "Go Home," a beautiful tribute to Stevie Wonder, and "It Was Fun," a sexy mid-tempo headnodder remixed by Waajeed of Platinum Pied Pipers fame and featuring Chali 2na of the Jurassic 5. DJs will find great use from either side, and collectors will enjoy the new look of Alala Records, designed by artist/painter Nik Cruz of Nature Studios (www.naturestudio.us).A Go Home B It Was Fun
