Kami-O’s Clash uses White Peach’s frequent four-track format to give what could be one of the label’s strongest outings. Clash embodies everything that White Peach is about: on ‘Muckier’, the Glaswegian producer connects to an early-2000s era solidified by labels like Big Apple Records and Tempa, although with grimier clarity and a modern dubstep sound palette. The style is a contemporary take on proto sounds, and offers a brilliant demonstration of the new levels Kami-O has reached since venturing into production circa 2010.
