almost sounds like Eskmo vs. Jamie Lidell? "The revived Apollo imprint continues to turn up new talent with its ongoing series of EPs. In truth, this set from Kasket is a bit all over the place, but it does suggest the guy is flush with strong ideas and blessed with the skill to execute them - one minute it's all crystalline ambience, the next it's jittery hip-hop or bittersweet electro-pop or moody garage-not-garage. We can't think of many records that remind us - all at once - of Air, Clams Casino, Sven Weisemann's ambient gear and Burial, and on the strength of that alone it's worth a sniff.
