King Cannibal - Virgo - 12" Vinyl

Excellent new EP from Dylan Richards' King Cannibal project, featuring two tracks in both vocal and instrumental versions. "Virgo" on the A-side featuring Face-A-Face is a tight dancehall style killer complete with spitfire rhymes and a fierce jump-up ravey style that sits somewhere between Kevin Martin's productions, the Shockout 12" series and more recent work from Ghislain Poirier - the vocal version in particular gives it in righteous style. "Murder Us" on the flip is much darker and more spacious, with a repetitive, gnarly bassline eventually giving way to a squashed rave style that sounds like a slowed-down, more restrained version of Modeselektor.
