Kyle Hall - Girl U So Strong - 12" Vinyl

Kyle Hall brings a different Detroit flava to start Hyperdub's 10th anniversary celebrations. One of the label's yungest producers, Hall previously appeared with early joint, 'Kaychunk' back in 2010. Much like that 12"'s broken house style, he's flexin' beyond typical Detroit house sounds here with the strange blend of motorik steppers riddim and breezy, dubbed out jazz-funk in 'Girl U So Strong', which just appeared on the 10.1 double CD. And equally, the 8-bit boops and radioactive dubbing of 'Take Me Away' traces further connections between 313 and Actress-style South London sounds.
