California's Lazer Sword back in the ring with a brace of stepping club killers. 'Sounds Same' starts out in the kind of technically superior ghetto house that Loefah and Pearson Sound have been rinsing this past year or two, before a falling curtain of Joy O-esque synths take thing to a more melodic yet moodier spot. 'Klock' hits just as hard, with broken, teched-out drums and Burial-style vocal pressure, and a rugged analogue bassline in Boddika style, all stitched together with some crafty edits for maximum 'floor impact.
