An odd one this - although it's sold as a `battle record' it actually plays like a full on Machine Drum album, and to our ears is the best thing he's put his name to since `Now You Know' came out all those years ago. Taking the melodies out and shelving them in favour of stripped down, heavy as you like beats Travis Stewart manages to come up with a sound he's been hinting at for far too long. Skipping from heavy gangland hiphop to slinky bass heavy r+b and even breaching the Miami bass sound at times there's something here for all hip hop occasions."
