**BLUE VINYL** Choice slow-house and boogie hallucinations from Maxmillion Dunbar. We were suitably impressed with his 'Bare Feet' EP for Ramp last year and this one is looking set to do the same. 'Girls Dream' spins out on the A-side at a nonchalant 100bpm drowsily editing a soft-focus disco cut with a similar intent to the Thriller series or like a more smudged Firecracker production. 'Bells Dream' on the flipside is like a hazily recollected proto-house track where the machine rhythms have been eroded to a skeletal sketch and the melodic surfaces seem about to evaporate into the recesses of memory. As if to reinforce the effect, 'Ambient Lemon & Lime' signs off with a twinkling beatless ambient cut, like some library record sifted and shifted out of time and place. Check this if you like Actress, NWAQ, Mark E, Fudge Fingas etc.
