Description

When she's not busy destroying microphones on stage around the world, MC PELIGRO (aka ETHEL VERDUZCO) can be found skating and surfing in San Pancho (San Francisco), Nyarit México. The slogan, translated "Spiritual Cosmic Perreo" where "perreo" refers to the type of twerking particular to reggaetón and dembow and the "spiritual cosmic" part is a nod to their laid back surfer vibe...but don't let the hippie language fool you. This is MEXBOW or Mexican Dembow. MC Peligro completely slays the digital-dancehall flavored A-side "Mata de Vaina" breaking out of the typically repetitive dembow format with lyrically agile verses and unforgettable choruses that you will be singing in the shower or while you wash your dishes. This song is 100% a dance floor winner every time. La City will make sense to the post punk electro / new wave kids who appreciate the heavy hitting bass of the Roland TR-808 with buzzy synthesizer lead bass lines. MC Peligro is all up in this beat rhythmically speaking as usual for another dance floor pleaser. Think of this 45 as a tiny life saver in the form of a record that the noble vinyl DJ can throw on and revive the party once it's begun to take on water or mix it in proper at the peak of the night to send the party through the roof.
