Japan’s Kouhei Matsunaga caters to the L.I.E.S. sound with a four track cold buffet of serpentine, minimal techno and beat-less computer music. Under the NHK yx Koyxen moniker previously used for his Diagonal and Computer Club releases, the 3D-gegged producer trims back to his slinkiest sound with the iced-out bleeps and ticking hi-hats of 925_2 on some Ø or Sleeparchive tip, and a supple piece of Brummy minimalism in 941. Orbiting the ‘floor, the beat-less 943 recalls Mills at his most spaced-out, and 1662 brings up the rear with a more laid-back, rolling take on subaquatic dub-techno dynamics.
