One of the few rare records of African-tinged soul cut by percussionist Oscar Sulley in Chicago during the 70s. During the mid 70s, Sulley was active on the midwestern teaching and playing scene - and his albums are a strange mix of African percussion, plus other rock and jazz influences absorbed from the players he came into contact with. This album features a slightly larger group than usual - and includes some expanded horn and string arrangements, which give the best tracks a nice dope groove.
