Wildy inventive remix jobs and edits of an unlikely bunch of suspects, courtesy of the dynamic pairing of Pocketknife and Cousin Cole outta Brooklyn, NY. They attracted a lot of attention with their 'Tambourine Dream' album, editing Panda Bear and Seu Jorge amongst others, but this time they're flashing their razor blades at a whole other bag of mixed gems. On the A-side Pocketknife reworks 'Earthed' by Soft Circle, aka ex-Black Dice percussionist Hisham Bharoocha and Patti Smith's 'Ghost Dance', while Cosin Cole turns to Battles' 'Atlas' . It gets even more suprising on the flip with revisions of 'Tukulti will burn' by Six Organs of Admittance (honestly!), Liars' 'A visit from Drum', and Silver Apples 'Oscillations', all housed in a screen printed black-on-black sleeve and individually numbered in a run of 500. There's something for everyone to dig into here and pull out your own favourite.
