Prins Thomas - Dungen / Sun Araw Remixes - 12" Vinyl

Dungen and Sun Araw are conscripted for the latest set of Prins Thomas remixes, taking tracks from his Principe Del Norte album on alternate trips to the isolation tank and martian beaches. Stockholm’s psychedelic unit Dungen offer one of the series’ oddest remixes with a droning, chamber-like reduction of H that gradually oscillates from head-squashing pressure to vertiginous flute and loping disco bump, and then gives way to the Prins’ own original version of J. On the other side, Sun Araw’s Saddle Soap remix of B takes the trip even deeper, coming on in lysergic waves of wobbly electronics and warped slide guitar offset by a rub-and-tug of modular dub electronics, kinda like Mike Cooper dissolved by Tomutonttu
