Ras Teo is a Los Angeles based Armenian Reggae Roots artist with an unique vocal style and conscious lyrics. Ras Teo was raised in the suburbs of Uppsala, Sweden where he was introduced to Reggae music at the age of 13, by his African friend who gave him a cassette tape. Ras Teo moved to Los Angeles in 1996. RasTeo started his recording artist career in 2001 as the lead vocalist for the hip hop act Pentagon, but shortly after left the group for a solo career returning to his true music love: Roots Reggae. Since then Ras Teo collaborated with Veteran producers like Reuben Addis, Ras Muffet, Vibronics, Ironworks Dread (From Dread & Fred), Idren Natural, Ras Hassen Ti, Rebel Steppa, Roots Hitek, King Earthquake, I-David, Jonah Dan, Victor Jazzbo (from the group Amharic), Roots Youths (UK), Ital Mick, Slimmah Sound, Jacinand Tesfa Sound. His recordings feature Legendary Drummers Leroy Horsmouth Wallace and Santa Davis, Haile Maskel (from The Rastafarians) and legendary Reggae Singers like Yami Bolo, Prince Alla, Johnny Clarke, Fred Locks, Iqulah and Danny Red just to name a few.
