DJ/producer/saxophonist Samuel "P.Nice" Bananas returns to the Fool's Gold fold with his second batch of ultra useful edits and remixes. Whereas the instantly-sold-out High Top Fades EP covered the 80s, Braids & Fades moves forward in time and finds young Sam reworking some classic 90s jams. On the A, it's Jomanda's "Got A Love For You" getting a Bmore overhaul on "Work Me" and Salt N Pepa's "Shoop" chopped up over sublime squelching bass on "Get Set Go". Flip it over for "Ooh Bop" - an En Vogue rework, my favorite and the most instantly recognizable of the four joints - and "Ladies".
