The man Seth P. Brundel was at the heart of Miami's no 1 politically active hip hop outpost Botanica Del Jibaro before he moved on to pastures new at Aesthetics. Now it's 2004 and we finally have his full debut album and it's awesome. On a few tracks hooking up with Algorithm crew Plex & Dr. Faustus but in the most this is a confident all solo showcase. The production is just as you'd expect if you know the Botanica Del Jibaro vibe - it's funky, it swings, it's deep - melodic, rustic >> ancient to future. The lyrics are on point, politically fuelled hitting hard and forcefully the multitude of worrying problems with the world today. The artwork is cool as well echoing the sleeve to EPMD's Def Jam debut 'Business As Usual'. Seventeen tracks deep, just short of 60 mins running length.
