Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings put out some of the best heavy funk stuff ever. Their debut LP "Dap Dippin" is a straight soul masterpiece and if you do the hard funk thing at all, a must own. Sharon on "How Do I Let A Good Man Down?" really busts out some 60s and 70s type funk on here with a bad ass drum break at the beginning of the song.
