The excellent Immerse imprint continues with its exploration of the deeper recesses of bass music with this inspired hookup between Hot Flush producer Sigha and Australia's Spherix. "Separation" on the a-side untangles shimmering keys from a heaving mass of bass rumbles and aquatic percussion, bringing to mind elements of Claro Intelecto, Pole and Shackleton for a deep and heavy technofied variant. "Lesser People' on the flipside is a lot steppier, making use of a similar sound palette under more propulsive percussive elements. Dark and atmospheric wares - recommended!
