"Shadows" has a great mix of soaring horns and funky drums – this kind of quick strutting groove that's pumped up in all sorts of cool ways by the vocals, which also do great things on a breakdown in the middle! "Nothing Lasts Forever" has a cool bass/percussion break that populates the groove – richer than the standard sort of funk rhythm, which only serves to open up Smith even more
