Funkineven puts his unique spin on coldwave industrial machine funk as St. Julien. Three cuts find a fine balance between his boogie templates and more rigid machine rhythms with an added squeeze of industrial romance. His 'Jupiter' straddles boogie-house waddle and slow, druggy EBM, whilst 'St. Julien' pelts a 140bpm machine swing with serrated, hi-energy arpeggios and synth-pop flourishes. Flipside his 'Lazor' fires a full side of wiggly acid electro reminding of recent GB workouts.
