Stono Echo’ is a duo comprised of Paten Locke on the beats & scratches + Jay Myztroh on vocals, keys & tenor sax. Their name, content and sound invoke the spirit of the 1739 Stono Rebellion, the largest African insurrection in the mainland British Colonies.
Their debut album, ‘Black Diamonds’ is both a rousing call to action and thoughtful reflection on the American experience as a person of color.
