Submotion Orchestra’s first full length album ‘Finest Hour’ is widely considered to be their most loved and seminal piece of work.
Only ever previously available on CD and download, the band presents the first ever vinyl edition, released on their own SMO Recordings label.
On its release in 2011, the record quickly became an instant classic, receiving critical acclaim from around the world, and strong support from DJs such as Gilles Peterson and Trevor Nelson, who personally invited the band to record a live Radio 2 session.
Sell out tours followed across Europe and the band were quickly booked for some of Europe’s biggest festivals including Glastonbury, Bestival, The Big Chill, Pohoda and Outlook, laying the foundations for the four albums, numerous tours and many festival appearances that followed over the next decade.
To mark the ten-year anniversary of its original release, and in response to consistent requests from fans since that time, the band have specially remastered the original recordings, to finally make available the deluxe limited edition vinyl pressing of this treasured record.
