A set that's as vibrant as the title might imply – even though it's just the work of one musician – Pavel Grachav, who produced, arranged, and plays a mix of keyboards, guitars, flute, alto, and other instruments too! As you might expect, the groove is lean, but never too spare – as Tanzibar's got this way of making things warm and flowing – maybe a bit in the way that sound library funk moved from larger groups to just a solo or duo artist in the 80s – keeping things soulful, while also stripping down the instrumentation a bit!
