Four Tet's Text label doing what they do best and rolling out no-nonsense surprise 12"s of banging house and techno. Following on from the debut 12" a few years ago, there has been much speculation about the ID of Taraval, and EP2 is sure to fire up the Discogs and YouTube comments as to who this is. Unprovoked hype aside, Taraval's latest is lining itself up to be one of the year's very best. Each track from the second it starts literally jumps out of the grooves and batters the low end with raw kicks. Each track is perfectly robust and does the damage with all the skills of a knowledge of the very finest house and techno sounds around. A true classic in the making, and whilst people may speculate on the identity of Taraval, when the tunes are this good, who cares?
